YoYo's

I made all these yoyo's today while at the Dr.s office with my mom for them to check her pacemaker/defibrillator.......it was a long wait as they had to check the amount of battery left and also do a round of blood work and chest x-rays (one of the meds for congestive heart failure can cause scarring on the lungs).....her battery pack is good for another six months then they will have to go in and change it out.......she fell on yesterday and cracked her tailbone so not a fun day for her at all.......but we are happy that she is clear for another six months if all goes well with her heart......so much to be thankful for........so while we waited I worked on these..........54 of them, so this is a good start.....I need 2500 to make a king size with drape over the sides......

This is the yoyo jar.....they look so nice inside......
Until next time,
Wendy

Did you use clover yoyo maker or do by hand? I love how they all look in a jar. My DGKs would have a fun time sorting through that jar. They love sorting through the button tins.

What an ambitious project. I love yoyos. Found a dresser scarf at a thrift store that was so beautiful made from them.

Wendy, you have a lot of patience. I tried doing these once and didn't enjoy it at all. I've see lots of neat projects using them. I know your spread will be beautiful when its done.
Blessings and well wishes to your Mom.

Hey Wendy, what a coincidence. My husband also has an ICD (defibrillator) which he has tested every three months. They told him last time that the battery should be good for another five years (he had it implanted last year). He also has chronic heart failure, and had bypass surgery earlier this year. I call him my Bionic Man!
What a great idea to keep your yo-yos in a jar! I've got a couple in a plastic bag somewhere, and can never remember where I've put them. One big glass jar coming out of the kitchen right now!

Ouch! I've cracked my tailbone, and it really hurt, so I empathize with her pain. Hope all continues to go well with her. Love the yo you jar! For all those yo yo's to come, I think you're going to need a lot more jars!
