Roses, Yarn and Stars...

I have been so happy that my hands have cleared up from having the dreaded poison oak that I have worked this past week on several items...First up is a pic of one of my new rose bushes with two beautiful blooms...it will take a few yrs for this lovely rose bed to be full and thick, but I was so happy to see these two roses this morning...once all the roses have taken root really well, we will be putting lovely white rock gravel down to make this rose garden very pretty...
Next is an update on the afghan I am making with glorious colors...I have used all 25 colors making two rows each...
I am using a size 5mm hook to work this stitch, which can be found here Lucy has the best tuts on her blog...I am still in love with this yarn which is Style Craft yarn...I have started the color repeat and get giddy when I see all these lovely colors together...
I did make one star this past week...just needs the outer diamonds sewn on...sorry for the blur...I don't know what happened...
This little jewel went off to a new home across the waters...it is a candle mat...I really enjoyed making this one...hope you are having a great day...

Great pattern on the afghan, that's going to keep someone nice and cosy when it's done

The variety of yarn colors work so well together. That is a beautiful stitch too. I love the round candle mat. I hope to progress my crochet enough to make more than the basics. I can smell the rose perfume. Beautiful.

That's going to be a beautiful afghan, Wendy. So glad to hear your poison oak is gone; that must have been awful.
