Blooming...

Some of my roses have started the blooming process....the smell is heavenly...I love roses and have many rose bushes...this year we are working on a rose garden and have planted 23 new rose bushes and will plant another 24 soon...the rose above is from a Tyler TX rose bush...love them...this yellow old fashioned rose bush is a climber and it is up a 40ft tree on the backside of the property...it is full of blooms and buds getting ready to bloom out...the smell is so sweet and fragrant...

These roses are so pretty...it has the palest yellow blooms every year and has 8 to 40 ft. runners all up in the tree and hanging down to the ground....
this rose loves to climb and cascade down...it came from my mom's home place and is a cutting off of her bush...this rose bush is around 60yrs old...
There are hundreds of buds on this one....I am watching daily so I can hopefully capture it in full bloom before any rain comes and makes the petals fall...
some very pretty iris have popped up over night as well in full bloom...these are so lovely, almost like velvet...
Lovely thick petals on this one...smells wonderful....
Candystripe is one of my favorite roses that I have...looks like a peppermint exploded on the rose...
a nice soft color for a rose...again smells wonderful...
these little roses are very dense in petals and the smell is so fabulous on these...
last of all is my running rose bush from my dads home place...this bush is a cutting from a bush that is over a hundred yrs old...this particular bush is 45 yrs old...it is an old fashioned breed rose and is full of these lovely little roses...and they pack a powerful rose scent when in bloom....I hope you have enjoyed my tour of roses...I know I enjoyed smelling them and taking pics of them...may your day be filled with the fragrance of roses as well.

Lovely photos! How do you take a cutting from a rose, Wendy? That sounds interesting!

Like you, I adore roses in the garden. Interestingly, when I purchase flowers, I very rarely get roses as they have such a short shelf life. But in the garden, oh yes. Yours look simply stunning. Beautiful blooms.
