Whew! I told you I had been busy. This is the last one for now. I have decided to enter a small crazy quilt piece in the fall fair where my brother lives. I am undecided as yet if it will be a wall hanging or a lap quilt. It will have six blocks that measure 12" x 12" each when completed. I don't know if I will do two by two or three by three, as I am still in the thinking process on that end of the design. Anyhow, it will be made with the same teapot/cup fabric that I used in my ss summer swap block. I just love this fabric. I have one block completed and five more to go. I will post as I complete the piecing process. I will piece them all before I add any type of embellishments to it. The first one I chose to do a fan as the central part of the block. I really like the way that it turned out. And I am already thinking about how I will embellish each of the seams. I believe I will make a rough drawn out draft of the seam treatments for each of these blocks. Hope you enjoy reading and looking at my projects as much as I am enjoying the creative process of each one.
Happy Sewing until next time
Wendy

Here is a pic of another nekkid block. This one is for a rr that I am in called Under the Sea in my group Crazy Quilts for Newbies on yahoo. I thought about what I would like as this will grace one of the downstairs bathroom in our house. I found this whale fabric and knew this would be the theme. I love whales and this just seemed to speak to me. The block is 12" by 12" finished size. I am going to add a few things to it and will post a pic when I finished the seams before it gets sent off to the people in my group. I know it will be just beautiful when it comes home to me.

I have joined the Season to Season swap. It is not really a regular swap, you make your own block decorate half the block, send it in and your partner embellishes the other half of your block and then it is sent back to you. I had sent a block in for the fall one but it never arrived at its destination. Which was very disappointing for me. But, the mail does that sometimes you know, lose your stuff! It's lost out there somewhere on the pony trail I suppose and having dealt with our postal system, it could show up any day now! And if not I hope it has found a good home. Although I don't know why anyone would want a half finished block!lol. Anyhow, I decided to try this again with the summer block and I am currently piecing the previous blocks of the seasons to complete on my own. This is a pic of the nekkid block and I will post again when I have completed the seam treatments that I will be doing before it is sent off to my partner. I am so looking forward to this swap. I fell in love with this teapot/cup fabric and decided to use it as my theme. I know the colors are not bright and bold for a summer look, but I have roses that bloom with their soft beauty during the heart of summer, so this is a tribute to them and all their beauty and sweet smell.

Hi everyone hope your week is going good. Mine has been a busy one which is fine with me as I love to stay busy. I have been stitching, stitching and stitching. So I have new photos to share. I have made three more hearts for the Chain of Hearts group that I am in. One needs the seam treatments which will be done this evening then it will be ready to swap as well.

Almost forgot this heart is one that I have made to swap in another group that I am in called chain of hearts. I have recieved some very beautiful hearts and extras from the ladies in this group. I have to make pics of all of them and will be posting them in the next few days. But here is one I just finished for swapping.

Here are the pics of the milk glass that I purchased and recieved over the weekend. Some really nice finds. One is a relish platter, a hat vase and the one a friend bestowed upon me as a gift is a victorian lipstick holder in milk glass.

OK here is some lace that I have hand dyed with egg dye. The results are good, although I don't know if I will do this again. Takes too long to dry and I am not very good at waiting. Anyhow, I wanted to try my hand at it and see if I could get good results.

Hello everyone, I hope your day is going well and you are sewing and crafting all that you want. It has turned a little chilly here over the weekend, that being said we had a great weekend of just family time that we all really needed. We went to the zoo and to some flea markets where I found some great finds for my milk glass collection. Also, had a great victorian piece bestowed upon me as a gift from a friend that was here visiting. Have been sewing some also, and have pics of all to show today.

The first pic is of the block I just worked on for the purple color study rr that I am in. I am in the Groovy Grapes group. Today's pic is of Judy C's block. I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed working on it. I had a lot of fun doing this block.
