Yesterday I spent a few minutes at the machine making scrim lace and snippet cloth...now I am adding stitch and will show that in a later post...lovely bullions, knots and other wonderful stitches being put to fabric...
Using bits and pieces on both the lace and snippet cloth from grans dress...I love the process of making scrim lace...pulled out my tablecloth I am working on to add more to it as well...sigh...
This is what my desk looked like when I was finished with the two pieces for my ledger...these are samples for my project...such pretty one of a kind fabric and lace made by me...sigh....love it...

I have never heard of this before. Learn something new every day
I haven't heard of it either, will be interested in how to do this.
It's always exciting watching these pieces develop
Very interesting! Did you take a class for this technique?
I love the scrim lace, and have made 1 piece so far with bits of cloth stitched in. It looks so fragile and airy, doesn't it?
As Karen would say; "You just can't buy that!". It's beautiful and precious.
using the hexagons as a frame for another fabric is a great idea.
didn't this turn out beautifully....
