New Life for Singer....

If you have been following my blog for a bit you will know that I collect old singer sewing machines and refurbish them if possible...sometimes they cannot be brought back to working condition...when that happens they usually go to the junk pile to be used for scrap metal...not anymore...the Mr. has come up with a great way to re-purpose those frozen machines...these still need to be cleaned up a bit and some of the rust removed and the tires will be aged as well before I am finished with them...Singer Tractor. ..the one above is mine and I will try and remove the rust from the silver plate on the front and sides.
this one is my mom's and she is going to paint hers after removing the rust...I cannot wait to see how she decks out this machine...until next time keep those needles stitching....

gosh this one is amazing! I have never seen one of these before. I have several old machines, they are such fascinating pieces and I can't begin to imagine the history of them, the pieces they must have made...

I have a bunch of old girls that cannot be fixed and that is such a cool way to use the heads! I am visiting via Jan at Sew and Sow Farm.
