New Photo

Well I had to delete this photo and replace it because it just would not show up for some reason so here we go. I hope this one will work like it is supposed to. These are the first five in a group photo of my hearts. Three of them have already been swapped.

Three New Hearts

OK here is the photo of the new hearts I have to trade. They turned out well I think. I actually made a total of ten hearts, but decided to keep two of them for myself. So I only have three new ones to post for trade.

I will be trading these in the group I am in at Chain of Hearts. This has been a lot of fun to do. Hope you enjoy looking at the hearts.

Hello everyone hope your day has been going good. Today has been a slow day for sewing or any type of crafting. Did a lot of errands though so the day has not been wasted. I have swapped three of the five hearts that I have posted pics of. Five more are ready, but I need to post pics of them first. I really need to buy my own digital camera, I have great 35mm but they have to go out first. Anyhow, hope to be able to post pics on Monday as I am waiting to use my daughters camera.

I might be able to post pics of my other blocks as well. Hopefully my block for the color study rr will be ready to photo by then also. Also I have some more blocks that I am going to post also.

Since we have moved and all my things are in storage, I have been doing a lot of hand work to occupy myself with. I will be glad when we get to move into our house. Hopefully we will know something soon. Then I can get my sewing room up and runnning again. Until then I have started collecting a small amount of stash to have on hand at my moms. I have also gotten her into doing some handwork and now she is starting a pansy applique quilt top. Her energy level is improving daily. So we just take one day at a time. It is good to see her improving, I am so happy that we have had this time together and hope that we have many more years left to sew and quilt together. We may get to put a quilt in frames and quilt it together very soon. I will post some pics of her work here as well sometime this next week.

Hello all

Just a small update on the hearts, I have swapped two of them and they are on their way to a new home. I will be posting five more sometime on tomorrow. It is rainy here and we are expecting storms all day tomorrow. So it seems that will be a good day to stay in and stitch.
I have two more blocks for a previous swap to finish, and then they will be ready to mail out. I also need to make my purple color study block for the rr on cq4n group. This will be the first time that I have participated in a rr. I am very excited about it. All but one piece of the fabric is from clothing that I had purchased last week at a local thrift store. All in all this block fabric wise is only going to cost me about $1.oo. That is so wonderful as I love a bargain. Anyhow I will be posting pics of that block as well. I missed the green color study rr, but I think I will still make the block and do it all myself, just for the practice of working with all one color.

Happy Sewing Everyone

Update for the new year

Ok, I am still here and trying to get back on track. Much has happened in the last six months. Things are just now starting to settle down some. I will try to update more regularly now that things have begun to settle down.

I have some things that I am finishing up because they are way tardy and I need to get finished with them before I continue with any type of new work.

Anyhow, I am moving on with the new year.

I have joined a group that trades crazy quilted and embellished hearts. I am working on ten at the moment. When they are embellished I will post here and on the group so I can swap them. This is going to be fun. I will use the hearts to make a wall hanging with. I am excited about getting them from all over the world.

I have not done too much stitching as most of my things are still in storage and I don't have access to my stash and so forth. But I do have enough to do the little hearts with as I can use some fabric from cut up dresses that I have purchased at the local thrift store. My thread supply is limited but I am making do with what I have. Hopefully I will have pics in the next day or so.
