Last night I participated in FNSI for the first time and is hosted by Heidi here. I really enjoyed setting this time aside to work on a few things. I finished my heart for the "Initial Heart" swap. This is the heart before I put the initial of my swap partner on. And a closeup of the heart. This heart is going to be hard to send out tomorrow. Is this beauty coming to you? I will show the heart with the initial once my swap partner receives her package. This heart is made with vintage fabrics and a vintage doily. The folded roses are made with scrim.
This second heart is the one I posted about previously and have now finished. I waffled back and forth on adding more bling and some roses, but finally decided on simple. I did add a little heart at the bottom with shabby strings. I will be keeping this one.
Closeup of the smaller heart and strings.
Next I worked on my scrap vomit quilt. I completed another block and have one that just needs the rows stitched together. Hopefully I can finish it on tomorrow. I would have liked to finished it last night but I was just so tired sitting at the machine.
Since I did not feel like sitting at the sewing machine I did finish my work on one of my white work blocks for my Embroider, Embellish, Create class. I tried a new to me stitch, the twilling stitch or basque stitch. Once I got the hang of it I was able to stitch pretty quickly.
Because I got so tired, I did not get my Rainbow Jane blocks put together. The lighting was not good today to make pics, so I will try again when the sun comes out. I am happy with all that I accomplished on last night and will be participating again.
Happy Stitching,
Wendy

I love the heart. LOL scrap vomit quilt.
You got a lot done, love the hearts. The flowers look great done in scrim. The whitework piece is looking good, that's a stitch I haven't worked on for a very long time.
I love your block, thanks for linking up :)
Just popping in from the FNSI linky...
looks like you had a great FNSI... the hearts are so pretty, very clever to make the roses...
