Happy Easter
to all my blog readers...may your day be filled with love, family and happiness as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ...if you don't celebrate the same as me, I still hope you have a day filled with family, love and happiness as you go through your weekend...
I used lace for the binding, using the technique that I use on my crazy quilts...
I love how this turned out...I made my own stitchery pattern for this little quilt...I also stippled really small in areas to make the embroidery pop out from the egg...
This was a very fun mini to make and I am happy to say that Joan was very happy with it...thank you to our awesome swap mom for hosting another great swap...

Wonderful MiNi's exchanged Wendy! I hope you had a fantastic family filled Easter celebration too! :)
what a beautiful mini received and the one you made is amazing too.
love the details in the stitching and the different quilting is so wonderful.
Both minis are stunning. Happy Easter xx
Happy Easter.
I love the sheep mini quilt but your egg design is very delicate and the quilting is very skillful. Really lovely mini quilt, lucky swap partner.

Both are lovely but really like the stitching you've done on your easter egg. Happy Easter.
Happy Easter to you as well.
The 12" minis are a great idea. I love both that you have shown here. I'll look at the link to see who else is sharing their talent.
Have a great day.
Wendy you did such a fantastic ob on this gorgeous mini quilt and you also designed it! Wow!!
I enjoyed making mine too, looking forward to the next one.
Wendy, that is the most exquisite embroidery of an Easter egg that I've seen. I was looking for something to stitch earlier this year, with Easter in mind, but apart from tacky cross stitch eggs and rabbits, more suitable for children, I just couldn't find anything.
Did I read your post right - did you make that design up yourself??
Hi Wendy - wow wow wow - the Easter mini you made is really gorgeous, well done on creating such a wonderful design - I love it!
And your EPP is looking fab too, I know that feeling of running out of basted shapes, how annoying!!
